The Beach Haven Chamber of Commerce is very excited to host our third annual Juried Art Walk and outdoor festival along Bay Avenue in Beach Haven. The date is June 6, 2020. This will be a community project to bring artists and art lovers and collectors together and will be produced by an all-volunteer board.
Our jury will look not only at the quality of the work submitted, but also pay attention to the diversity of subject matter and what we feel could sell here in our area. There are also plans to have musicians and performers throughout the Art Walk.
Our fee for each space starts at $100. Our advertising, press releases and general promotion will insure that all the residents and visitors on Long Beach Island and surrounding areas know about the show.
Prior to the show, we will advertise in local newspapers and social media as well as having posters, lawn signs and postcards put up around LBI.
Once the Art Walk is over, we will send out questionnaires to all our participants in order to get your feedback and ideas to make each year better and better.

JURY INFORMATION:
Participants will be chosen by a jury of 7 people. If you have not previously participated in Beach Haven’s Art Walk, please submit three (3) photos of pieces that will represent what you will be showing as well as a one (1) photo of your display. If you were a participant in any previous Art Walks, you will be accepted automatically.

We will review all submissions and notify you once you are chosen, at which time you will send in your payment either by check or online payment.
STANDARD AND RULES
The Art Walk Committee will visit all displays at intervals throughout the Festival to ensure that exhibitors comply with all festival rules. It is our exclusive right and responsibility to remove work that is not in compliance.
1. All work exhibited must be created and produced by the artist (includes limited and unlimited editions of artist’s original artwork.)
2. Artists may only exhibit work in the categories in which they are accepted
3. Only original artwork, limited and unlimited edition prints may be displayed and/or offered for sale.
4. Ceramic works, sculpture, jewelry and pottery must be handmade by the artist. If multiple pieces of the same design are displayed, each piece must be signed. A representative from the Committee will check on this.
5. This is an outdoor event and artists needing or wanting insurance will be responsible for proper insurance and protection of work and setup. The Beach Haven Chamber of Commerce will not be responsible for damage to work or setup due to weather or unrelated incidents.
6. Artists wishing to exhibit work produced in more than one media category must submit photos for each category.
7. Booth sharing by two artists, although not encouraged, is allowed. Both artists need to apply separately and be accepted by the jury and fee is $140.
8. Artists are responsible for collecting and reporting all taxes.
WAIT LIST
In the event we have more submissions than allowed, there may be a wait list based on jury scores. Artists on the wait list are notified via telephone or email of their acceptance.
DIGITAL IMAGES
Applicants must submit three color digital images with your application. The images must show individual pieces representative of your work. We also would like to see a photo of the type of display to be used at the show. We do not expect you to have a booth shot filled with the exact items that you will bring to this show but it would be helpful to see how you display your work normally.
REFUNDS
Cancellations received prior to April 30, 2020, a 100% refund of space fees. After April 30, 2020, no refunds will be made.
SPACES
Spaces are 10' wide by 10' deep. Double-wide (20’) spaces are also available. Exhibitors should be prepared to adapt to outdoor exhibiting. As the Art Walk will be located along Bay Avenue in Beach Haven, you may need to adapt for sidewalks. Parking along Bay Avenue is angle parking.
(Please note we will be getting permission from downtown Beach Haven businesses to allow artists to use their restroom facilities)
BOOTH FEES (Due upon acceptance):
Single Space (10' x 10') - $100.00 Shared Space $140
Double Space (10' x 20') - $185.00 (limited availability)
(There is an added Service Charge of $4.00 for online credit card payments)
SCHEDULE
Application Deadline: March 30, 2020 (Entries received after March 30th will be placed on a waiting list)
Incomplete applications will be returned
Jurying: April 2, 2020
Acceptance Notification (emailed and listed on our website): starting on or before April 8, 2020
Booth Fees Due: April 15, 2020
All applicants must submit digital images or photos as we plan to use certain artwork for promotion of the Festival.
Space Location Notification: May 25, 2020
Show Set-up: Saturday, June 6, 2020 @ 6 a.m.
